Systems Architect - UPDM, MODAF, NAF [J

We are looking for a Junior Systems Architect (2-3 years’ work
experience) to support our team in the area of systems and systems
of systems engineering. Different roles are considered for this
position therefore candidates with different levels of systems and
enterprise architecting skills are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities / Duties
The Systems Architect will be working on the design of systems
and system of systems architectures predominantly in the aerospace
area. This will include the analysis and formalization of data from
the problem domains under investigation at different levels of
abstraction by applying various enterprise and system modeling
techniques
Qualifications / Experience
- University degree in
informatics, engineering or related fields
- At least 2 years working experience in one of
the following areas: enterprise, systems, or software
architecting
Essential Skills
The candidate should have a solid background
in enterprise, systems, or software architecture modeling and
excellent knowledge of UML.
In addition
- Excellent abstraction and analytical
skills
- Good command of the English language –
written and spoken
- Good document writing skills
- Good presentation skills
Desirable Skills
- C/C++ programming
languages
- Java programming language
- Basic UNIX System Administration
- Basic Windows System Administration
- Database programming (Sybase and/or Oracle)
- Formalised Software Testing
- Serena Dimensions CM
Qualities
The following skills will be considered an advantage:
- System and enterprise architecting
experience
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture
frameworks e.g. UPDM, MODAF, NAF, DoDAF
- SysML knowledge
- SoaML knowledge
- XMI knowledge
- Experience with Model-Driven Architecture
concepts and tools
- Experience with the Eclipse Platform,
including EMF, GMF, BIRT
- Java knowledge
The candidate should have a deep interest in
state-of-the-art systems engineering and enterprise architecting.
We are looking for a team player willing to work in dynamic
international projects, by showing high degree of flexibility and
self-initiative.
The working language for the position is
English and therefore the engineer must be able to work effectively
in this language.
